Jason has joined NKMP in the brand new role of Building Financial Capability +, Kahukura Coordinator, which is aimed at building the financial resilience of clients through wrap-around support. This may include financial assessments, budget assistance, forward planning, support with seeking employment, and social support and networks.
The service is currently in its implementation stage and will go live 1 July 2019! More information about this service to come.
Jason, who was born and raised in Southland on a farm, comes to us with an extensive working background from investments and business development at SBS Bank, and customer service, lending and administration at Finance Now, to working in the community in positions at organisations such as Southland Community Youth Trust, IDEA Services, and Child Youth and Family – now Oranga Tamariki.
Jason says his work has always involved working with and supporting people to achieve their goals, and he is looking forward to his new position at Nga Kete to continue support work and expand his knowledge, to help people in the wider community and to support those who have high needs.
Outside of work Jason enjoys spending time with Tammie, his wife of 21 years, and their two children Anika (18) and Kobe (9). “I enjoy a strong balance between my work, family, and personal interests. I value the time spent with my family and enjoy tramping and exercise with friends, when time allows.”
Welcome to the Nga Kete whanau Jason!
