Greg, a father of three and stepfather of one, comes to us with an extensive working background in teaching and a huge passion for youth.
Greg has taught carving, Maori art, kapa haka, and basic Te Reo Maori at numerous schools including the Universal College of Learning in Palmerston North, where he developed a traditional Maori Arts programme.
He also taught at Tweedsmuir Intermediate and Southland Boys’ High School, and has spent the past three years at Community College as a Youth Adviser and facilitator of the Sport and Rec programme.
Greg enjoys sports especially touch rugby and has represented Southland and New Zealand, as well as coaching numerous youth sports.
He is happy to be in his new position here at Nga Kete and looks forward to the challenge. He enjoys helping youth navigate in the right direction and says its fulfilling to watch the young people come out the other side with a positive result.
