
Ngakau Manawa is a marae based noho wananga (learning fun environment) supporting Hapu Mama and those with toddlers 4 years and under to become smoke free and champions of whanau wellbeing.
Ngakau Manawa is flexible in meeting your needs and aims to reduce barriers and stress during pregnancy/parenting, enabling your journey to become smoke free.
The programme offers weekly support post the noho wananga and helps connect you with other agencies and services. It also extends during the noho wananga a child playgroup opportunity for toddlers aged 4 years and under (conditions apply).
The programme is designed for Maori wahine aged between 18 and 24 years.

Introducing Smokefree Families and Pregnant Women Incentive Programmes:
The Smoke Free Families programme is offered to parents and family members who smoke in the primary home of a child who has recently been admitted to hospital for a tobacco associated health issue (i.e. respiratory infection or glue ear).
The Pregnant Women programme aims to encourage and support pregnant women to become smoke free.
